I bought the lamellar leather slanted hard bags for my 2011 Softail Heritage. It took me a long time of looking at the bags because I was afraid to drill the first hole. I called Viking Bags and the gentleman gave me a few pointers on installing onto my bike. I finally got them where I liked em and got to drilling. They turned out great…..love e

m. Seems like they are we’ll made. I fabricated the mounting hardware brackets and used some different hardware but it’s to be expected when using a “universal kit”. There’s a lot of bikes out there….impossible to have 1 kit for them all. Overall, I will definitely recommend…..as long as they hold up over the years!

Indian Dark horse with Backrest

The only thing needed to bolt these on is to replace the 4 existing bolts that hold the backrest on with 8-1.25 thread 110 MM long bolts (homedepot). Install a washer between the existing backrest mount and the mounting brackets that come with the bags.
